About

I'm Fabrizio Blasio, a 3rd year aerospace engineering student at TU Delft. Building is what makes me wake up every day excited about what is going to happen. When I'm not building something I love to hike, boulder, ski, watch good movies and most importantly eat well! I have lived in Italy, Malta and now the Netherlands. So, what do I build? Good question: pretty much anything that solves a real problem I have encountered.

My first major project was a delta 3D printer, designed to mass produce components, the first of its kind. Then I discovered the world of solar energy, which showed me a potential opportunity in finding qualified leads who had large energy consumption paired with a large roof surface. We built the whole funnel in a month, and shortly after we decided to pivot.

Later, seeing some interesting state-sponsored agrivoltaic projects, I became responsible for sourcing from China about $400k worth of goods to assemble 2 MW of agrivoltaic projects, leading to almost 40% cost savings.

One of the components required for those projects was a weather station, which at the time nobody on the market was building for this purpose, so I decided to develop them specifically tailored to agrivoltaic plants. We have sold 10 of them so far, monitoring 5 MW of power plants, and are in discussions with more than 200 MW.

While building this latest initiative I was also developing Clura, a modular 3D printer enclosure meant to filter the air and be the smartest enclosure on the market. I was responsible for engineering and production while a partner managed marketing. We sold over 150 units, raising more than $40k on Kickstarter.
